I’ve been an artist since childhood- from enthusiastically drawing birthday cards for others as a little girl, to doing a Bachelors and Masters in the same field. I am currently a full-time visual artist, with my hands in writing, art education and hosting as well.
Maybe art runs in the family; my father, Khusro Subzwari, is an engineer-turned artist since 2009, and my mother is a talented designer, who has an eye for materials, colours and cuts. And my brother? Well, he's the model you see, who reluctantly agreed to pose for the first collection.
I’ve always believed that art isn’t just for walls, it can live on anything. On fabric, on objects, on you...That’s why I created House of Subzwari (HoS), where my art meets fashion, with more products to come in the future.
The HoS resort-style shirts are imbued with elements from my contemporary miniature paintings that contain pop-culture and socio-political elements on currency notes, so they're are a bit quirky, fun, and luxurious.
These are not mass-produced pieces; they’re limited edition, one-of-a-kind, designed to be collected, cherished, and gifted. They're versatile too, both chilled-out and formal, so style them however you like!
