As the Tale Was Told

A sweeping storybook scene painted in the Mughal miniature tradition. A royal hunter perched on a spotted toadstool takes aim at a towering violet dragon, women with tambourines watch from the cliffs, a phoenix and white birds cross the starry sky, and two robed figures share a quiet moment beneath a tree. A monumental work packed with detail.
